Hold your event at the Julia Morgan-designed Chinatown YWCA building. The Chinese Historical Society of America offers venues unlike any other with exquisite architectural details and a one-of-a-kind look and feel. Built in 1932, the CHSA facility is a historical landmark located at 965 Clay St., between Powell St. and Stockton St.
~ CHSA offers four rental options—the Main Floor of the museum, the Learning Center and the exterior Parking Lot.
~ Onsite parking is available for up to two vehicles. All public spaces at CHSA are fully ADA accessible.
~ CHSA members receive an additional 10% discount for private event reservations.
Whether you are hosting a public event, such as an exhibition, performance, video shooting, wedding shower, private corporate retreat, birthday party, memorial, or product launch, CHSA will work with you to accommodate your needs and your event space rental requirements. Payment Details
For events within 30 days from the date of the Agreement, payment in full is required with the return of this Agreement. A deposit of 50% $ is required for events with dates more than 30 days, with the balance of the total payment due 30 days prior to the event.
A non-refundable fee of 50% of the assessed fee is required should cancellation occur 7days or less prior to the scheduled event date.
**Corporate and nonprofit renters must provide a Certificate of Additionally Insured listing CHSA as additionally insured for $1,000,000 general liabilty insurace.
