Year of the Snake Celebration

CHSA is ringing the Lunar New Year with a very special Year of the Snake celebration on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Admission will be free for all attendees during museum hours.

As the Year of the Snake slides in, we welcome the dynamic opportunity learn from the past and move forward with wisdom, awareness, transformation, and compassion.

Join CHSA for a day of festivities that will feature arts and crafts, interactive games, cultural performances and demonstrations, complimentary snacks, and more during this community celebration with family and friends.Programming includes:

– Year of the Snake arts & crafts
– Frank Wong miniature exhibit scavenger hunt
– Lion dance performance by Wong Gar Hung Keun
– Artist merchandise table (Lori Chinn)
– Traditional calligraphy demonstration with artist He Wen Tang (湯賀文)
– Community resources table featuring SF Planning

There will also be Lunar New Year refreshments and snacks, prizes and giveaways, along with Year of the Snake red envelopes available.

Admission includes complimentary access to exhibits: We Are Bruce Lee, Chinese in the Richmond, and the Frank Wong miniatures collection.
